Took a 370km drive from nipaluna/Hobart on a beautiful winter's day. Up through the midlands, across to the east coast and home again.
I captured the last of the June Strawberry Full Moon, the rising sun, mist descending on farms and the magical blue water and pink quartz of the Freycinet Peninsula, with my Mini 4 Pro.

Tasman Peninsula Cruise with the Yangs

My friends the Yangs visited from Jinan China. I was lucky enough to travel with them in China, and it was my absolute pleasure to return the favour, on a day tour of the Tasman Peninsula including a Pennicott's Tasman Island Cruise. We saw Bottlenose Dolphins, Australian and New Zealand Fur Seals and hundreds of Shy Albatross. Apologies if the Chinese script is incorrect, blame Google Translate.

First bike ride post stroke

I had a stroke, it has changed some things in my life. Due to eyesight and balance challenges I haven't ridden a bicycle in over 18 months, . Now it seems it is the right time to challenge myself and get back on the bike metaphorically and literally. This short film shows my attempt. Happy to say I didn't fall off and will now keep challenging myself to do more riding.

Oh Crap. This was filmed 25 years ago and I've started crying again. What a band! They had amazing, charismatic energy when they played live, the music was exciting and just different enough to be interesting without being strange and the lyrics were poignant and often showed an understanding of historical context. 'For a short time'. okay 12 years, they graced us with their presence and there will never be anything like them again.

It was a great finish ... still hard to believe a heavier yacht with smaller sails managed to come from so far back in the river to win. Shows just how tough the river finish can be. And yes, one of the closest finishes ... ranks 2nd. The closest was in 1982 when Condor beat Apollo over the line by seven seconds.
